Mr Button resides in London and is a Fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors. In addition to being Chairman of Electrum, he is a Manager at Guardian Managers S.a.r.l Luxembourg.

As a result of his considerable experience in real estate markets in Europe and the US, Mr Button served on the board of Duke Realty Inc. (NYSE: DRE) a publicly traded real estate investment trust, as an unaffiliated director, serving on the audit, finance and executive compensation committees from 1992 to 2012. Duke has a market cap of around $10 billion.

Prior to this Mr Button was Executive Director at Wyndham Investments Ltd, the property holding company of the Allied Domecq Pension Funds, from 1986 to 1995. Wyndham Investments held commercial real estate investments primarily in the UK, the US and Canada with a value of approximately £1 billion.

Mr Heilpern has specialised for the last 30 years in real estate law and financing, representing developers, bankers and other institutions in a range of real estate transactions advising real estate opportunity funds and major investment banks on their European real estate investment programs. With experience in complex real estate financing deals, he has advised on the equity, banking and restructuring elements of these transactions. Having been a partner in international law firms since 1994, Nigel left King & Spalding LLP in May 2018 in order to focus on his own account acting as a principal in property and finance deals.

Nigel is responsible for the in-house legal function at Electrum and has introduced the D Deposit Bond business into the Electrum platform.

Nigel Heilpern resides in the City. He is a Freeman of The City of London and a member of the Worshipful Company of Bowyers.

Having graduated with a degree in quantity surveying, Mr Haly worked in a private practice of quantity surveyors, becoming a Chartered Surveyor in 1984. In 1986 he joined a Lloyd’s managing agency becoming agency manager in 1992. He was appointed investment manager of what became Brit Syndicates Limited in 1994 and remained in that role until the
formation of Electrum Capital in 2001.

His investment management experience is centred on the fixed income market and, in particular, in understanding the needs of insurance clients in respect of their portfolios of bond and other debt-based instruments, as well as attending to all the regulatory and other constraints under which such specialised investors operate. In all, he has more than 25 years’ experience of the fixed income market, gained with a variety of FCA-authorised Investment Managers and Investment Advisors. His connections within the investment management and insurance communities in the City are extensive.

He resides in London and is a Freeman of the City of London and a Liveryman of the Merchant Taylors’ Company.

Mr Szabó, started his career in 2000 in PWC Budapest’s Audit and Assurance department where he participated in the stator and internal audit of clients in several sectors. In 2004 he joined Jones Lang LaSalle Budapest, one of the largest real estate advisory firms in Hungary, as Operations Manager. He was responsible for the management of the finance, HR and IT functions of the corporation.

Mr Szabó has been involved in real estate acquisitions, investment structuring and
financing. He managed several mergers in different European jurisdictions.

Mr Tyrrell has been an investment analyst, portfolio manager, senior investment strategist, asset allocator and head of portfolio management in a number of organisations from large institutions (Aberdeen Asset Management, Scottish Widows Investment Partnership) to start-ups (EPIC Investment Partners, MarketsFlow).

Having been in charge of running fixed income mandates, from short-duration conservative portfolios for insurance companies to high yield bond retail funds, multi-currency bond funds, and portfolios with an absolute return objective, he has also run quantitative equity portfolios and co-managed both strategic and tactical asset allocation for a large book of retail multi-asset business (c.£85bn).

He was brought into Electrum to bolster the team’s fixed income knowledge and financial analytical expertise.

Mr Tyrrell is a CFA charterholder, holds the FRM (Financial Risk Manager) designation and has a Master’s degree in economics. He resides in London.

Kristina’s recent professional focus has been the acquisition and management of a small real estate portfolio for her own account. Prior to that she worked for Naissance Capital Real Estate, an independent asset management and real estate advisory firm with offices in London and the Middle East that originates, structures and executes real estate investment and development strategies across the UK and Continental Europe.

She holds an MBA from the Prague University of Economics and Business.
